Sometime, I just shake my head. I bet there are more Serato users at the Serato forum. What do you think?

hey mon......... just askin a question
Wanted to help him out
guess i should not have asked huh?

I have never been on a Serato Forum
in fact... i have only ever seen SSL in action once

and the guy that was playing wrecked the place

then when i came on and started mixing dem vids with virtual dj... i tore the place apart..... the crowd was ecstatic.... and spell bound

had the guy questioning me for half an hour after i played about the software
totally blew his mind

VDJ does tend to have that effect on people.

You can ask anything you want. There will probably be some one here to answer it. It just seems that my first choice would be the Serato forum, for Serato answers.

since i am a serato user too. i'll answer your question: no

i will add, if you have a ttm57 you can record the mix in ssl post fader. actually you can record pre/post fader individual channels as well as mix. something you can't do in vdj as far as i know.

this part of the forum is called "General Discussion"

so that's self explanatory.

You don't go to Macdonalds and ask about Burger Kings products, this is no different. I'm happy to support SSL users, it says something if this forum is more popular.

Dre,
Here's what you do for me.
Tell him his ssl box works with vdj and sell him a program.
Problem solved, glad you asked, case closed.

whats wrong with you guys today? lol.... You all got up on the wrong foot? hehe

the guy who asked IS a VDJ user, and only asked about a feature he doubt his SSL friend has, and asked here to find out, from his fellow VDJers, where some also have SSL.
Asking at his home, rather than going into a forum he doesnt hang out at (SSL)

Simply as that, should be flamed for that I think.

Cheer up guys ;)

get a recorder, gemini have a little recorder that takes a line out, just use the record out on the decks.

or you can buy yourself a grands worth of mixer than has enough CHs and routing to allow you to record the master A/B back into a standard windows recording program

I have a record line out on my $200.00 Vestax mixer.

Those little Youtube vids I made with that mixer and another pc recording the record out mix with a soundblaster line in.

pretty cheap-assed I thought but it makes decent sound quality.

They should re-name this forum to SS-Sell because I read more about SSL here than I do about VDJ. Can I buy SSL from this website? seriously I've been persuaded.

80.000 post in general forum, and you see more SSL than VDJ post?
lol

You ARE having a bad day;)

Very good day here, the weather wasn't great, nothing stands out about today, it will be forgoten in a few days from now, but I've had a good day, no fall outs, just an average day.

Obviously I was taking it to the extreme so the point would become clear to those hard of hearing. Here it is SS-SELL galore, we must be helping that business grow in some way, as it's the 'Gold' standard for a DJ software in everyones eyes here, and I think many are weak in accepting that, only a few contest that VDJ is better. People always pull out the video 'card' as if that will win the arguement, but SSL will master video and it will eventually be as functional as the video capabilities in VDJ. Then you'll have a bear bones DJ program that allows you to scratch with records and play videos, you wont have a fully featured application like VDJ, VDJ will be ahead for a long while.

So yes, SSL is regarded here as the better application for Timecode users and it's kicked up a lot of fuss, it's talked about all the time and sometimes YES! you do forget where you are (www.virtualdj.com).

You don't see many talking about VDJ over there..

guys.... there is no need to make a fuss..... i apologize
the question was a simple one............ with a simple answer

I asked the question simply because i suggested to my friend that had he bought virtualdj then he would have had quite a few features at his disposal.

In fact before i had even asked the question here.............. i suggested to him that he could use SSL's hardware since he already had it and use virtual dj's program for the purposes he wanted.

Funny ting is dat with all the fuss dat is going on about dat simple question............ he is already convinced that virtualdj... would have fit what he wanted to do and more.....

Secondly, he will be buying virtualdj software shortly............ of course had i not asked the question...... i could not have.... given him an answer.......... i did suggest to him too that he checked their site for the answer too....

Just thought that with such great help from my team here.......... never even crossed my mind... that i should not have asked.
