Since there are quite a few choices of hardware, I was wondering which is better?

Using timecoded vinyl (need turntables)
Using timecoded cd (need good cd players)

OR

the xp10, mk2 or dj control mp3

I want to mix hip/hop, techno and also play videos.

have you checked out skyfxl's ultimate guide to controllers ? i might get xp10s but i've also considered the high end dvd player w/ the preview screen....can't remember the make er model.......

lots of ppl like the mk2......kinda small control surfaces

i used to have a denon 5000..... the high end cd players are only a little more than the xp10's......if your system crashed you can still play and scratch.........

ICDX.... Rocks... give you everything the highend CD players give
and its a direct controller which works very well even for scratching.
