Numark iCDX

Numark CDX
===========================
iCDX Pro - Only need one because I can switch decks by pressing the Eject button
iCDX Pro - Nudge effect
iCDX Pro - Comes bundled with Cue and Traktor 3
iCDX Con - Have to press platter to scratch
CDX Pro - Works like vinyl
CDX Pro - Built-in effects
CDX Pro - Auto synchronization
CDX Con - Need two; cannot switch decks by pressing a button
===========================
I might not have mentioned all of the features of the two but I am leaning towards the iCDX.
These two CD Mixers look great my only problem is money. If I buy the iCDX, it will cost around $699.99. If I buy the CDX, I will need two which will cost about two times as much as the iCDX costs. Please give me your opinion. I am looking at the iCDX more but I want to hear your opinions. Thanks for the help. :D

Maybe they fixed it, but I had a strange problem with the ICDX. I was playing two songs together, and the song that the icdx was controlling suddenly paused for a second, then continued playing unaligned. It was weird, and sounded terrible! I didn't touch anything, it just suddenly moved. Very strange. I use CDX's now.

i agree.
can either of those smart loop? i usually use the 1/2 and 8 beat smart loops so it must be very manual if i have to loop them myself. i also checked the total control and it also doesn't have a smart loop. weird?

what are some things the CDX has tat the iCDX doesn't have and vice versa. sorry for all of these questions. i just want the best out of my money. i'm sort of leaning towards the CDX now because of the wheel on the top left corner that changes the effect. also, im sort of worried the CDX's vinyl will maybe die out i know that by using the iCDX, there will be less of a chance of this ever happening. i just need more advice guys. please help. :D

I think that it depends largely on what kind of dj you are/where you are coming from and how you intend to use them.
The controller function (eg midi functions) of the ICDX are great, so if you want to use the player primarily as a controler with Virtual DJ (PC DJ), use the iCDX. The DVD function is also great! Only seen it with the (much more expensive) DVJ 1000. However, the platter is of the 'clickable' kind, and not a touch sensitive one like the CDJ's for instance, which sucks with scratching and when dj-ing without the pc (eg. effects in Virtual DJ), you might feel slightly handicapped. If you where a vinyl dj before, the CDX's are great. I think the technics DZ-1200's are also worth looking at, they have some disadvantages, but they are beautifull and the spinning platter and look or feel is great when you come from SL's. If you are a cd-dj, or have a mixed setup with SL's or the like, look at the pioneer CDJ's (800/1000's).
This is just my opinion, and you or others might feel different. It also depends on the style of music you play. I mostly play techno and house, so my experiences are mostly coming from that viewpoint.
Check out youtube for some interesting video's and go to your local dealer to experiment with the equipment before you decide to buy and you won't regret your eventual choice. Good luck!
