VERY VERY IMPORTANT .... IS VIRTUAL DJ PRO FOR MAC GOING TO BE READY FOR PROM SEASON .. (April - June??) AND GRAD SEASON ...
I understand that we need the software to be as perfect as can be and I STRONGLY AGREE ...
BUT CAN WE GET AN EXTIMATED TO ALMOST EXACT TIME LINE or STATUS PLEASE?????
i am sick of seeing maybe Jan, Feb, Mar ... "Its coming soon" ... think its in the alpha now going in to beta mode.
Is there some sort of a GOAL of a release date?
It's better to hear .. It is still in beta mode and our goal is ________________ .
i converted to a MAC to get away from Windows, and it's amazing, because to run VDJ Pro now, you have to get Virtual PC (which you can't use) or Boot Camp to run it THROUGH WINDOWS ... I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH WINDOWS RUNNING ON MY MAC! LOL
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ CANT SEEM TO GET AWAY FROM THAT PC! lol ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
if you can't do any of that then at least PPLLLLEEAAASSSEEE Try to have it out before April! Ill even take the beta version !!! lol
=====================================
Also something else ...
You Alpha and Beta testers (if you can) Can you estimate what the minimum and/or recommended hardware requirements are going to be? (RAM, HD SPACE, CPU SPEED)

Like I said, I'm hoping for April 1st at the latest.
Apple was founded on April 1st (April Fools Day / All Fools Day) as a way to say "F-U IBM" back in 1976. (I'm not kidding about that either, the enemy was NOT m$ at that time).
An April 1st release (but don't wait for that if it's ready sooner Atomix!) would be cool as an anniversary present for Apple Mac users AND a way to say "FU" to other digital dj solutions. =D
Afterall, they say history repeats itself. ;)
I'm so tired of waiting I've already started going to demo VDJ at clubs with my MK2 and letting them "now imagine what I'm doing, but with vinyl as my tool to manipulate the videos." Inside my mind, I'm just saying to myself "Boooooooooo...".
All I know is that it'll be worth the wait. =)

It'll be here before April 1st.

Yeah, I figured.
That's why I said "but don't wait for that if it's ready sooner Atomix!".
Of course at this point I would not wish it to be held back for ANY reason. =)

VIP / Mac Beta tester .... ARE YOU SURE it will be out before April? You relize you are saying within 3 weeks. Can this be confermed?
AND
Any specs as in Hardware requirments for this yet?
and if you guys need a Beta tester by the way, I have a G4 notebook. (Not Intel) I will be more than happy to try it out and give you or Virtual DJ techs input... (just a heads up) even though it is for VIP users.

That's what anewsome has too, so they've got that input.
He just recently purchased a 24" Intel HD iMac as well.

BTW, if more beta testers are needed, I have a 20" Intel iMac 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, a PCDJ DAC3, M-Audio Connectiv audio interface, M-Audio X-Session Pro controller, Pioneer CDJ-1000, and Technic 1200s of course.
Thanks,

You have to be a VIP member, hence the reason that I as "Mac Ambassador" am not even a beta tester. How ironic is that? =P
There is a love/hate relationship with me here... some people really love to hate me while others hate to love me because I'm right often times (not always, but more often than some would like me to be). ;)
But since I've been among the most vocal (and definitely the most controversial) since early last year about the fact that a Mac version of VDJ is needed as well as a viable TCV solution in order to compete with SSL here in the U.S., both those claims having been re-affirmed later when U.S. based Numark picked up Atomix VDJ as it's software and both those reasons being in large part the current reason for hold up for what must be by now Atomix's worst nightmare for not having foreseen what I had predicted to be true long before some of us proclaimed it, I have earned my title through some of my supporters who "get me" and "get it", but apparently some of the "people upstairs" don't like my "I'm gonna light that fire under your behind for your own good" reality tactic to ensure that VDJ/VV gets widespread adoption as quickly as possible.
And so I wait as the non-VIP Mac Ambassador... but "it's all good". =)
It'll "be all better" though REAL soon when VDJ/VV Mac releases and me and my high profile and now good amount of coherts go and light some fires under other people's behinds to use VDJ/VV at their radio and club, events, performances, Visual Turntablist showcases/battles (we'll start those using my crews partners store www.StacksVinyl.com ), and other fun stuff. ;)

What matters is that people who matter like dj-in-norway "get me", what I'm saying, and validate what I say.

what happened to all the postings that were in here? about the boxes being in production and stuff? Were they removed?
Posted Sat 10 Mar 07 @ 5:58 am
yeah... seems it got cencored. Dont ask me why ;)
Guess someone has something against boxes... lol
Posted Sat 10 Mar 07 @ 1:06 pm
maybe because they were sharing to much info about the release?
Posted Sat 10 Mar 07 @ 3:37 pm
I guess so :)
Posted Sat 10 Mar 07 @ 4:10 pm
if you need to know about the boxes, just ask me.
I'll tell you everyhting I know about them and the release... which is nothing.
Seriously, don't ask and hold on just a bit... =)
