Topic: Mackie d2.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello,

Is it possible to connect the numark cue to the Mackie d2 through fire wire and control and the cross fader through the external mixer. I have the d2 but I havent bought the fire wire card yet.

Please advise if there is an alternative way as well.

Thanks

sorry... What kind of question is this?

CUE works wth many midi controllers ok? you can connect them in the port you have in your PC. If you don't have the port you need, you can add a card with the proper ports and that's it... If you want to use an external mixer you can connect it using the normal ports of a 5.1 or better soundcard. As you connect any sound device, you can connect what you want, just think that CUE and your PC is like any CD-Player with USB (or Firewire) ports.

If the computer "see" the device, then CUE too.

Regards,

if you buy the firewire add-on for the D2 then VDJ/CUE can send each deck to each CH on the D2 so you can use the mixer the same way as you would with 2 separate decks. obv you will need a firewire port on your PC for this..........

perfectly simple question with a perfectly simple answer mate

another thing not mentioned is the fact that the D2 is NOT a midi controller. you can use it with TCV or TCCD just as you would with an ESI U46DJ soundcard although you'd connect the decks to the mixer and connect the mixer to your PC.
