Topic: I can't believe these GEN3 VINYLS! - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Seriously. If you rock TCV, and you live in the US, and you have not got yourself some gen3 vinyls,.. you are missing it.

I can't believe these things. Yeah, yeah, I know. Most of you know me as the guy who never has anything positive to say about anything but I'm being serious right now. These vinyls rock.

I seriously could not believe the difference when I was doing my test session tonight after I got them.

The biggest difference I notice (and the most important), is how well they track when doing backspins, not for effect I mean but for rocking doubles. You have to be able to rewind quickly and accurately to rock doubles and the gen1/gen2 were just not up to task. So that specifically, I appreciate the new gen3 vinyls.

These vinyls are lightyears ahead of the others.

I honestly think it feels like I am spinning with a completely new program.

DAMNIT!

I want to try! =D

I wish I could return my Gen2's that I bought back in August that I've barely even used because of how thick they were [even compared to the Gen 1's to my surprise] and because of the fact that TCV response just wasn't up to task until 4.2.

Looks like we're getting closer though. Keep up the good work Atomix!!!

If there's an "8 month and just used for testing but they didn't pass the test" return policy, I'm safe... but somehow I doubt it. =P

Great news though!

Well it's a brand new batch so I don't think they are going to run out anytime soon, but really. If you do this and it is how you make youre living, in part or in whole,.. there is absolutely no reason why you should sitting on the fence about these vinyls. Get them now is my advice, it'll make your life a lot easier.

I too thought about waiting until I could go pick them up at the guitar center, save on the cost of shipping, etc. In hinesight, that was a pretty stupid thought. I'm glad I didn't wait.

I am going to frisbee these gen1 vinyls. I mean it.

i just got mine in to test out the demo and was able to get them going but have a couple technical issues! first off i want to say they work great and i was impressed myself even did some backspins and all and the latency is undetectable. i had trouble first off with both my tracks going to the same channel but somehow it corrected itself and the vinyls worked great but only one will configure and give me a reading and even it jumps around and doesnt stay at 100% the other vinyl works good but just doesnt register for some reason so i really didnt worry with it since it worked. I have read alot of tutorials on things to try and its probally something im over looking. I also experienced some dropouts and think i may have a IRQ problem but will hopefully have a chance tonight to test it out more. I was a little discouraged at first but I think once i get my computer set up right and configured im going to buy the program cause im sold on it.

Anewsome, Your enthusiasm is to say the least refreshing! Do you now consider the Virtual DJ Timecoded Vinyl experience, comparable to that of SSL?

I'm gonna frisbee my unused Gen2's also when I get the new ones... but I need your help to lift them up anewsome because they're so thick and heavy.

Good to hear. You'll get a lot more benefits by being a licensed Pro user. =)
