Hi
This is about the type of files you cn play with the XP 10
Is it just for mp3 format?
I have all music in .wav.
Can anyone confirm that the XP 10 can play .wav, .vob, and .mpg just fine.
thanks,
B

the xp 10 is just a usb controller with build-in soundcard
which means it depends on the program you use
what types of files you can play with it
i guess in this case it would be VDJ, right ?
so, the answer to your question would be YES
of course for playing video files like vob. mpeg, avi etc.
your computer needs a certain level of "power"(ram, video etc.)
hope this helped
cheers,
matt

Are the XP10's MIDI controllers? and if so I wonder if anyone has had any trrouble with Laptops (Dell in partiucluar) all of a sudden during the night not seeing the MIDI (i.e. the XP 10's).
before I buy I'd love some people who have used XP 10s for some time and each week for 6-7 hours nightly to respond on their reliability and consistency.
Thanks!!

The XP10 is a USB device (USB stereo soundcard + HID for control of VDJ.) There is native support for the XP10 in VirtualDJ, plus a built-in mapper to allow the buttons to be customised.
Prior to getting a DAC-3, I used XP10's and never had any issues with them not working. However, the buttons are stiff plastic and can be prone to breaking if they are not treated with care.
The touch-sensitive jogwheel is very good and the pitch slider is too (Long slider with good precision in VDJ (256 steps in VDJ versus 128 for a standard MIDI controller.)
