Topic: Harmonic mixing

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've been watching on the internet, that there are programs that make harmonic detection in songs, to see which songs are fully compatible, not only with the bpm, with the harmonic.

So, in virtualDJ, there is a BPM detector, and with the help of the harmonic detector (camelot notation for example), it would be a great improve in mixing.

Saludossss

So, does this mean we can expect a harmonic detector in the future?

you can swith in vdjpro programsettings to harmonic (melody) or beat: for me not needed but if you mix r&b or other styles than electronic beats like house techno..., you can set it in melody
i never tried it out cause i play house.

It's only about beat analyzation, not about melody.
