Hello I just start using VDJ two weeks ago. I do Karaoke for restaurants and I am also a DJ. I think this software is amazing much better than my last used software PCDJ FX/KJ that I used for more than one year without any problem.
But after checking VD and studying how it works to be used for first time at work I found a big problem and I am sure that I am not the only one with this one.
After playing music and some videos for around 1 hour VDJ freezes. You may think some songs are causing it right? But it happens at the moment of playing an already downloaded song. Then after closing VDJ and reopen it again I play the same song and it works without problems.
I am really sad because this is great software but I can’t use it all night long. (Just for 1 hour)
I’ve done all you recommend
Performance /Fastest
Options Max load / 10 min
My laptop has 50% free HD.
Fan cleaning also…

game xp is good improves graphic proformance
codecs is a bumper pack of every file codec
the avi speed info is useful if you have videos playing at crazy speeds.

Running "swap registry" tools as GameXP for shutting down services dont give THAT much of a boost.
It frees some amount of ram, but you already have a gigabyte, so having 20mb more ram wont make a difference...
The real issue is rather the graphic card ITSELF (poor card) or IRQ sharing conflict (main reason for freeze in hardware accelerated mode).
What you should try, rather than Game XP, is update the ATI drivers (new drivers now), and also DirectX (new now)... THAT will improve performance, and might also make it less sensitive for IRQ and driver issues.....

Got to agree on the IRQ sharing, but it could also be a MCE issue as well. That computer spanks the one I just built EXCEPT for the GPU, that in the sticky was in the lower of the cards if my memory serves me correctly.
