if i remember correct that means the bpm might not be accurate :(

The * indicates that these tracks will mix well, the ones without may be a it harder to get a perfect mix with.

aslo i think it can be related to unacuracys
as the "orange" symbol means hard to mix

The * means that virtual dj is able to mix the song with 'automix'. When two songs have a * they will be mixed perfectly. Wthout the *, it is possible that the songs are poor mixed. This information is mentioned in the manual of a former version (I think version 3).
I noticed that when you compare the manuals, they don't contain the same information. Even if you use virtual dj 4.XX, it's usefull to read the manual from 3.XX

Huh I dont think that is correct. When analysing the VOBS I have seen that, then when I edit my START and STOP points that * goes away. I don't think it has anything to do with being able to mix perfect. CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG SKY
