I have a 128mb ati mobility radeon x300 card. Is that good enough? Can video cards be changed in a Laptop?

cool you can get it upgraded if you wish contact your local pc upgrade center and they can tell you what is abvailable or you can contact the manufacturers and ask their price usual more than a pc repair /upgrade shop

128mb ati mobility radeon x300 card

Did you try that card?

Might work ok with videos as it is ;)

Yes i have tried it here at home with the trial version before i buy it. I guess it works okay. The videos load fairly slow. Would upgrading it to a 256 card will work better?

yes , but 512 would be better :--)

Yeah, better card will more ram helps ;)

Also the slow load on videos is a bit intentional too, to avoid skips when mixing videos (and loading a huge video file).

You can try to turn if off, by changing the SPEEDLOAD value to one in registry.

Might work fine with fast load, but it depends a bit on your PC :)

How do you get into the Registry?

Posted Mon 01 Jan 07 @ 8:14 pm
oh.. if you dont know the registry well, stay out..

There is a tool, that will make the changes for you, that one can download from this website, that will change these values with an easy press&click.

But its for full users only.

If you feel comfortable going to registry:
In windows:
Start >> Run >> regedit.exe

Then search for "SPEEDLOAD"

Change the value from 0 to 1

DONT RECOMMEND YOU GOING TO REGISTRY IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT!
IT CAN MESS UP YOUR WHOLE SYSTEM, IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR'RE DOING

go to control pannel

in the run box

type Regedit

then on the next window

search for vitual dj

look for the speedload key

change the value there from

0 to 1 ,

(be careful and take backups)

pro users have acess to a tool to do this

I found the speedload key under virtuaj dj. When you right click it. It says New & then it has string value, binary value, dword value, multi-string value and expandable string value. Which one to choose to set it from 0 to 1?

Right-click, the Speedload in registry, and choose "EDIT"

Then write 1

(hexidesimal and desimal dont matter for the value )
