I did a search, but didn't find concrete info.

Does vdj have trouble with vbr mp3 files?

I have some old rips I did a long time ago that I need this weekend, and some are vbr's.
I will rerip them, but I just want to make sure that they aren't going to screw things up for me if I use them this weekend.

Thanks!

vbr files will play ok. If you haven't analysed them, the time of the song sometimes will not be displayed correctly. You could solve this by analysing all the vbr songs

There's a nice little free program called VBRFIX which will rewrite the headers and gets rid of the (LAME) problem which causes the length to be misread. It's quick and easy; I use it all the time and all my own rips are VBRs and I have no problems. I can't remember where I got it, just google for it.
