I have 2 Denon 1000 cd player and Alesis firewire multimix 8 and downloaded the timecode CD I setup Virtual DJ to CD time and choose ASIO driver but I cannot scratch or its like its not even there no reponse at all, I'm thinking I might have configure this wrong or should I just buy a USB asio sound card but is it neccesary since alesis firewire got an asio driver?

I am using a laptop so there is line input just mic and that responds but not normal.
I use the alesis multimix ASIO and its ok I meant sounds comes out but no response on timecoding
I hook up the cd's into channel in, and tried all the inputs but nothing happen, I even tried downloading asio4all but no luck.

you cannot use a mic as an input sorry as it needs a stereo input a mic is a mono
i reccomend you get a soundcard such as esi u46dj
