Topic: How Do I Tell Video Files From MP3 Files

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Sorry if this is a stupid question or if it's been asked already but when I'm scrolling through the database, how do I tell the files apart. Can I search videos only, or audio files only? I don't see a way to do it currently unless I'm missing something.

The tracks are marked such as on pg 5 of the owners guide.
The keys are hard to see (at least for me) but a turquoise mark is a video or karaoke file with a "k" or "v" in the middle.
I might suggest a partician with the audio on and video on the other.
This will allow you to sort after a search by drive letter.

That is how I have done it, I have audio on one, vob on one and mpeg on another with karaoke saved as a favorite folder but removed from the search when not doing karaoke.

hope this helps

VDJ also supports user icons now, so maybe more creative and easy to see icons in future skins ;)

I use the DJJB skin and trust me you can see a difference. Good for the drunk dj.

So this is a skin dependent feature. Ok, cool.

All skins will do this, it may be a different font size in different skins.

DJJB's skin is straight forward. Plus the center panel can toggle from the 3 video windows back to just mixer controls. Very well done and get for those of us that go back and forth between audio and video at times.
