Hi, using the shortcuts (V2.0) I am trying to assign midi controllers to the sliders of the effects (VST and VDJ). If I use the effect_slider shortcut and leave the "value" parameter at 0 then I can control the first slider. If I then do another shortcut and change the value to 1, it seems to just immediately set the first slider to the minimum value.
What am I supposed to put in the value box for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc sliders?
Many thanks
rob

Just to add, what I'd like to achieve is 4 knobs on my UC33 per effect, allowing control of up to 4 sliders.
So that's:
Midi knob 1 = deck 1, slot 1, slider 1
...
Midi knob 4 = deck 1, slot 1, slider 4
Midi knob 5 = deck 1, slot 2, slider 1
...
Midi knob 23 = deck 2, slot 3, slider 3
Midi knob 24 = deck 2, slot 3, slider 4
Hope that makes sense!

Well this question is answered in the shortcuts help for this function (effect_slider) inside Virtual DJ since VDJ v2.1: there is a formula to control the other sliders

read the help message when choosing "effect_slider"
forumula is :
+/- [(the number of the slider you want to control - 1)*65536 + the value you want.]
The formula needs to be PLUS value for turning slider UP.
And NEGATIVE value for turning slider down
Lets say its SLIDER 2. Formula is then : +/- [(2 - 1)*65536 + 128]
result being +/- 65664. The POSITIVE value (+65664) turns slider 2 up, the negative value (-65664) turns slider 2 down.
asign to the deck you want.
Hope that helps :)

Hi!
I've got the same problem.. When I use this formula, VDJ crashes.
I saw on a post it is a wellknown problem. Will it corrected in the future version?
Have a nice day

you must need this +65664 or -65664 and you can slide the effect channels not use to big or small values they go out of channels and vdj will crashed my prog was to beginning with this false value crashed.

Hi!
