What is a good way to learn scratching.

Either with controllers or turntables.

I know it a technique to it all but I need to start from scratch.

I vote turntables to. I've only tried (other than turntables) jog wheels (dm2 and mk2), but they didn't present enough "hold and release" action for me. Nothing like the feel of real vinyl;^]
