If you do have one GB of ram and over, what is the better WINDOWS configuration:

1) to Disable Driver and Core paging to increase performance (theoretically - depending on VDJ's needs)
or
2)always keep Drivers and Core Paging in memory (to theoretically increase performance - depending on VDJ's needs)

I use option number 2 always. It decreases the amount of disk access the O/S will use to page the kernal in and out depending on how much memory is in your system. Even with the Firefox browser going and a couple of system monitoring utilities, I have yet to go under 400 meg of free RAM. Most of the time I'm hovering around 500 meg free.

I use the same setting usually, BUT I notice I am not using much RAM - BUT the CPU seems to get a real work out in this setting. Almost maxing out. When I use the first setting RAM usage increases and CPU usage appears to decrease. Strange eh?
