Is there a way to use buttons on a pcdj skin to control other apps? I'd like to control my showexpress with buttons on a vdj skin. Has anyone tried anything like this?

This isn't possible, the buttons on VDJ's skins can only control VDJ.
 
use a smaller skin so you have a bit space left on your desktop.
