My new Dell laptop was perfect until a week ago - sound is now jittering abit, just enought to piss you off. I'm only using headphone jack right now - does anyone know if a external sound card would help this?

What version do U use, demo or? External card are not better than internal, just it is used with laptops. Check for new driver for your sound card.

Using 3.4 pro - I think it may be time stretch but I'm not yet sure - it can get embarrassing in front of a large crowd.

3.4 pro? hmmm ...
IF you have purchased this version enter your serial here:
http://www.virtualdj.com/fusers/modifuser.html
regarding the sound issues, might be soundcard, if external, irq conflicts, etc
And some tips for better sound :
- Turn OFF limiter ! (its removed in next version)
- Turn Auto gain to always always zero, or always match at lower than zero db
And the timestrech feature you can turn off too, as its not 100% in 3.4.
Works ok, but its been improved ALOT for 4.0

dtrave,
Since you are using virtual dj 3.4 pro, you should edit your profile because on the face of it, it looks like you are using a 'not so legal' version.
