Ok can someone save my sanity here?

I have a lot of karaoke disks that i use with a karaoke disk player, after the purchase of a hercules mk2 i was impressed by the fact it played karaoke tracks off the disk and displayed the text in a video window....

"haha" I thought......."I could store my karaoke tracks on my hard drive and play them in virtual dj, this program just gets better and better"

So I ripped a few tracks over using a friends version of dart karake studio - so far so good.......

but when i play them back the backing track progresses slightly quicker than the text - its not that noticable at fisrt but gets worse as the track progresses - imagine starting 2 tracks together, one at 140 bpm and another at 140.5 bpm and you get the general idea...

So whats going wrong?

Is it virtual dj? ( i doubt it as i played the disks ok)

is it a codec problem?

whats the best program to use?

Any help gratefully appriciated

Damien

find cdg ripper to extract the tracks from the disc (at the same time it will name them) then use mp3+g toolz to zip them all up. im sure if u do a search on the internet for karaoke disc to zip or mp3g, you'll find alot of other ways. i just recommend cdg ripper becuase it's worked for me without a hitch
