Hey guys,
I am a fan of watching the DMC, and it got me wondering... is VDJ allowed to enter? or is there other competitions where VDJ is allowed?

Even if you can, you might be booed outta the building. The DMC crowd around here *ahem* tend to look down on anything but pure vinyl. Maybe they will come around some day.

the DMC is restricted to using nothing more then 2 turntables, 1 mixer, 1 DJ and REAL vinyl.

what and introducing easy song/cue switching takes out the talent?
do djs sort their vinyl beofre a DMC set? do they prep up their vinyl with cue guides and make a note of the bpm etc to make it easier in the heat of the moment? people dont look down on that but you cant use TCV, go figure.
have people not learned from the past? mr caveman shoted hassle at the matey who invented the wheel, whats all this new-fangled invention and the like, mr caveman didnt understand so he poured scorn on it. sooner or later its gonna take over, jump on the bandwagon DMC.

do some ressearch Xeo. its the Technics DMC championships. You'll not see Numark decks or Vestax or Gemini or Virtual DJ nor Serato Scratch Live.
1- main reason is the fact that they don't need to change the whole setup from 1 DJ to the next.
2- TCV still has imperfections (and I don't care who the hell begs to differ)
Why ask if DMC accepts TCV? instead ask "why doesn't DMCs use CD decks?"
Its what one can do using the real deal (Not cause it looks cool to use turntables, but because it requires a lot more hands on work to make something sound new and creative). The sets are practiced through and through. some DJs spend so much as 6 months to a year to master 1 set. it is judged just like any other competitions like American Idol. NO the crowd does NOT select the winners.
But Maybe....JUST maybe in the next 5-10 years we might see TCVs or TCCDs but until then buy records, learn them, mark them, and master a set :)
