In the v1.01 (to be released soon), the skin organisation has been changed.
Now you can include several versions of a skin (different colors, different resolutions, ...) in the same zip file.
Vdj shows the skin names in the skin list as "my_zip_filename:my_skin_filename_inside_the_zip".
(so beware, if you name your files myskin.xml and myskin.bmp and zip them into myskin.zip, vdj will list your skin as "myskin:myskin" which is not the prettiest. So don't use the same name for the xml and bmp filenames (must be the same) and the zip filename.)
