Topic: Time differences from vdj and wmp

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I find that some songs are only half the length in vdj but in windows media player they are full length.
At first I deleted the song and tried to re-rip but then figured to try in wmp and they were fine.
Not all songs of course but some here and there, still annoying.
Thanks to all.

how did you rip them? there is a lot of possibilities to rip. If you set wrong the preferences, even winamp won't play them ;)

Thanks, I have ripped thousands of songs and wmp plays them fine but for some reason only half the song, again, only a few songs act up will play.
For example I play sweet home alabama on vdj and it says 2:31 and on wmp it has the full 5 minutes.

and what happened in VDJ afrer those 2.31 min??? I dind't noticed this yet in VDJ. Everything it happened to me was that VDJ write error instead of loading the song.

right click the song when it's in the browser and hit analyse--any music not techno/ hip hop should be fine after ward
