A little small but good for mobile DJ's, nice for carrying around. The price is around £149.00 GBP.

I am considering purchasing this, it is almost exactly what I am looking for. I am still goingto try and build my own midi based mixer first.

Really tiny and cramped huh. Not bad for those with space issues.

Since it uses both note-on and Control change events with equal values it won't fully work with VDJ as-is since VDJ won't know the difference between note-on #13 and CC #13 (as an example..)

paulheu, I was about to buy this controller. Can you explain further why this controller is not fully compatible with VDJ? I am new to midi.

No one else has actual experience with these? I've been thinking of getting one for a long time.

Thanks for the reply leelars74, but I use VDJ with external mixers at clubs and need a small controller to use instead of the laptop keyboard. That is why I am interested in the Faderfox DJ1/DJ2. If anyone knows that this unit is compatible with VDJ, please let me know.

HI

I like the look of this controller, but .. .. .. even if it was compatable with VDJ.

Some of the controls might be superfluous if you're using an external mixer???

Wouldn't need a crossfader and would want to monitor through proper mixer.

So the important actions for a controller are to select track, set pitch, start stop cue and loop and maybe some fx work.

I'n not so sure how this unit would feel doing that, because there might be a tendency to hit the crossfader when busy.

Is this any better than using a cheap twin CD deck with Time Coded CD except that it is much more compact.

People who use it with Traktor seem happy enough with it though.

Asymptote,
you could use the crossfader of your mixer for sound and the one on this controller for video.

Yeah, I guess so.

I don't use video at the moment, but should think about it really.

I like the lamur controller, but it is a little expensive.
