That would Be a Latex Spandex screen from
http://djscreen.com
Company based out of Quebec, Canada.
Best solution I could come across for a screen set-up. I also have some 26" High-Def LCD Panels I use for smaller venues.
Side Note: the Projector is a Benq Short-Throw XGA projector. It can do 7'x5' image from only 4 feet of distance in 16:9 mode. Usually I set the screen in a corner. (More room for the Projector in rear projection mode)

I like to keep it clean, tidy and efficient. It's less stress and I'm in and out. One thing I never do however is shake it all about! Now that would just be been silly.

Nice Denon's. Good job on the graphic modification for the Decks. I would add my own covers but I'm too scared since I just bought the Denon S1200's. LOL!

Looking good,
The latex screens look brilliant, I've seen this one on ebay in the UK. Saves the import tax. Item No.290287789775.

shat kind of booth screen is that I have been trying to find one myself
Posted Fri 27 Mar 09 @ 7:36 am
i'm getting some great ideas here
Posted Fri 27 Mar 09 @ 5:50 pm
I built that screen from plywood panels ,carpet, hinges, velcro and black paint.
The stiffeners are blueprint hanging clamps (avail from drafting supply store)
I really like it but it is too heavy (about 60 lbs) so two more are underway that will be larger and lighter (I changed design) with the
raw materials weighing in at 35 lbs .
The pipe and drape stuff and the DJ SKIRT products are nice ,too. I am too cheap to pay others for what I can do.
I like the barrier between people and my equipment .Also try to avoid any flat areas near you that can become drink rail or holder,
narrow edges tend to deter "leaners" that will hang around you as the gig and booze progresses.
I keep a bath towel folded under my mackie mixer for those really cute gals that hang around towards the end of night that
sadly have puked before and let me tell ya ,That will ruin your week . Clothes can be washed ,cases scrubbed ,but mixers don't clean
easily .
Prob . too much info ,sorry ,just place a barracade between your equipment and the crowd but keep it not too obvious .
I feel it is better to step out or lean out than invite anyone in "my space".
I like roomy normally (as I am a pretty good size boy) but keeping your work area small makes reaching easy and
does not allow any room for "helpers" to gather behind the facade.
Sorry If I sound unsocialble ,I'm friendly and all but I have more invested in one gigs equipment than most patrons
make in a year at their jobs. I am protective ,Yes.
Best Always
