Hi,

I made a montor switch, so i can now record a mix without playing the music on my speakers. I switch the djconsole signal in my right ear. It really works well

Cool, I was already thinking about building something similar. Was it hard to built? I don´t have any experience in building electronic devices.
 
Hi Mike,
It was not so difficult. I switch signal and ground together so you need a switch with 6 pins like this.

amp signal R \|/ djconsole signal R
amp ground R \|/ djconsole ground R

looks nice, but what exactly does it do? :-s

do you need this for not listening to your mix over the speakers?
 
you switch the right channel of the djconsole monitor into your headphone right ear while listening to the live mix.

i see, but i found out that (if i would use no speakers) i can adjust the cue-level on my mixer (Numark DMX-2000).

Yes, thats right, I got the idea because a friend of mine has a Numark DM3001X and i liked this feature very much, so i built it myself, 'cause 'i don't have a numark' , i don't have a numark' ...
