Hi,
I am an experienced software designer and do some DJ'ing in my spare time.
I'm a huge fan of tag based search and even designed and wrote a simple tag based system which enable the user to easily see intersections of different tags (i/e give me all 140bpm tagged with 'jumpy' and 'happy').
I Think that browsing tagged files, and even tagging 'on the job' can make the life of the digital dj even easier (tags can be even used as notes you write for yourself, even can be used as rating system).
I Was wondering if Virtual DJ support an addition such extension (it should be displayed where the browser is displayed today), and if so, how can it be done?
Thanks
Guy

We can only wish they support full search of any tag info.
Right now, VDJ only searches file path and filenames that are found in mp3database.txt
-Dj Los

I Know that...
I Was wondering how open and elastic Vistual DJ is, in more detail, i want to add my plugin to Virtual DJ.
I was wondering if virtual DJ is designed in a way that enables me to write and add it myself.
If not, you might consider some kind of open source ;) your software could've been much better..
Thanks
Guy

@boyangu,
VDJ will not be open source soon. It is a commercial application like Microsoft Windows and Office. But there is some good news. You could write your own filename parser (as a start).
