Hello, I am new. I do not want to mix Midi sounds but real MP3s.

For example....... I know a DJfatal and was wondering howlike.......ugh..

I want to remix the song " SO SICK" with the vocals form the song " DONT YOU TRUST ME"

dont you trust me...has 2 pac vocals i want to remix So Sick but i dont want the other backround music in DONT you TRUST me.

How do i get rid of the music? pPLLZZ REPLY

The short answer is you cant really... ever... get rid of all the music. Even with Protools and professional grade gear; once a song is all together (mixed down from the original tracks) you cant seperate it back out. Sounds that are the same frequencies, say the vocals and a melody, and are in the same range (mids, like on a mixer) cannot be separated. You could cut the bass out without affecting a vocal much, but thats the best you can do when working with an entire song.

When artists do remixes of other peoples music they are given in the individual tracks (just the vocals, just the bassline, etc) and probably midi data and work from the ground up.
