I'm looking for a skin that can tell me in minutes how far point A is from point B in a song.
At the moment I'm using the default skin - it has a bar which shows how far into a song you are. You could have a song that is 10 minutes and a song that it is 5 minutes long playing & the bar is the same size. This mean when i'm mixing tunes, and trying to match the breaks up, it is quite difficult to compare the two, as the same size space on the bar represents different lengths of time.
i've tried installing a few other skins, but i've not found anything that would have the bars in proportion to the length of tune, or something else (that i can't think of) that would show how long it was to the break i want on both tunes.
Can anyone help?

Thats a bloody good idea. What i have discussed in the past is putting spacers on the progress waveform on every CBG 16/32 (another idea that would be SOOOOOO good) this would allow you to say;
'oh, look, song A is going to calm to a breakdown in 32 beats and song B is going to drop in 16 beats time. the mix will sound better if they coincide and i fade at the correct time. what i now know to do is skip track B back another 16 beats at an oppertune moment to match up the stuctures and pull off the better mix'
even better would be an overlayed or paralelle song progres display. after all the essence of mixing is knowing how songs compare to each other to better know how to blend + mix them.

that could be done by gridding the waveform either in time or beats. i prefer time even tho we could either have both. or an option to have it to whatever the user wants it to be--in beats or time.
waveform in Nero is gridded.
