Hey im looking to get started djing. ive been playing around with a few trials of different software. my favorite artist is dj tiesto and i want to make music along the lines of tiesto/dj shog. what equiptment do i need to buy, or what would you guys recomend?

Well.. if you want to mix with software, first of all you need VirtualDj ;)

Next if you would like to be like Tiesto you will need TimeCoded Vinyls and something like Maya44 USB and 2 turntables and mixer. And that's it!

What turn tables would you recommend, and what about a sampler?

Turntables? It doesn't really matter which ones. But they have to have direct drive motor. It's better ;)

If you want the best, go to Technics of course :) Otherwise look for Numark, which has great turntables too.

Sampler you have already built in VirtualDJ, you can use midi controllers to control them.

yes, i got the trial just the other day, just playing around with it. i know there has to be alot more to it. just havent found it yet.
