Superstom
The difference between a playlist and the sidelist is this:
Playlist: You could load and save m3u files (winamp playlist files). When you drag a song from the playlist to a deck this song is removed from the playlist.
Sidelist: You could not load or save this list. When you drag a song to a deck the song will remain in the sidelist until you delete it by hand.
Playlists could be used for playlist purpose, like a 80s playlist, a Techno playlist or a prepared playlist for a wedding with the requests from the Bride
Sidelist could be used for reminders, loops, samples or acapellas.
