If anyone has tested one, so please tell me... And just tell me about the soundcards wich is tested with VDJ.. I don't wan't any problems...

Just tell me all the possibilities I got... (I don't know so much about sound-cards and wich possibilities it is to connect one, so plzz help me)

The Maya44 works fine. USB connection. I have three laptops. One with timecode and the Maya. Two others with gigaports. Maybe someone can reccomend a firewire out there for cash.

laptops never have PCI-holes (as you put it), so don't buy a PCI-soundcard for your laptop.

You are looking for a pcmcia card like this
http://www.zzounds.com/item--ECHINDIGODJ

The problem is that you need inputs for tcv.
There are very few that have inputs to start with.
I know of none that are pcmcia.

My best advice is to find a maya 44 usb (proven to work) and use the pcmcia slot for music data either firewire or usb, but seperate the source from the output.
Don't try to use a usb sound card and a usb external drive together.

Still are available at Musician's friend

I'd be happy to send it to you if this is the only source.
I just wanted to show the availability.
Laptops have some limitations in this area.

yeah, you are right there...
I only got three USB-ports (one of them are not working, so I bought a HUB with power, 4-port)
Therefor I want to use a Firewire soundcard...

Maybe I will buy the soundcard from Music Friends..
Do you know how long time it takes untill I recive it, IF i buy it..?

Thanx again
