Topic: Maya 44 AND a HDC MK1

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello guys..
I have heard that a Maya 44 gives 16-bit sound...
I have a Hercules Dj (the first one.. "MK1" or what it is called..)wich gives 24-bit sound, wich is better....

Is it any possibility to connect everything in this way..:

I use Maya 44 as line in... And my Hercules as line out...
(I will soon use TCV)

You can connect Maya as line-in and Herc as line out, or just make the Maya do both line-in & out, and just use Herc as an extra controller when using timecode :)

I think the Hercules is also 16bit in real hardware, but it has a 24bit software emulated mode.
It's 16-bit/48KHz sampling, 24-bit ADC/DAC. Gives a pro enough sound ;)

Or you might just upgrade your Hercules console, to the NEW Mk2 version.
The new Hercules MK2 have 2x line-in that you can use for timecode vinyl/cd, and would be all you need ;)

Hope that helps :)

thanx dj in norway, again... :D

But I wonder how well the MK2 runs Timecode?, and in asio mode, any users willing to spill the beans?.

its built in support, VDJ automatically sets it in asio mode...

Works perfect ;)

And the MK2 have a build in bypass mode for playing real vinyl....

Like bugpuss, i also wait for a mk2 soundcard review in TCV mode.
...wait a min..., i'm starting a new thread with this subject...

Bagpuss*

Unless I really am a bugger? :).

Oh, sorry man..
Many people write my nickname wrong also "aposis" instead of "apopsis"
btw. apopsis is a greek word means: opinion
what is bagpuss ?...

I remember that post...
"Bagpuss is a cat who spends his time slumbering in a shop......
There were only ever 13 episodes of Bagpuss but that was enough to ensure the saggy old cloth cat legendary cult status."

Hello again...
Does M-Audio Delta 44 or M-Audio Delta 66 work with my laptop and TCV's too..?

Unless your laptop has a docking station with a PCI free slot, you couldn't use a Delta 44 or 66 in a laptop.
