Hi VDJ Community
I have two simple questions which have nothing to do with VDJ (Sorry).
1. Which is the fastest way to rip DVD (VOB Files) into mpg or avi?
2. I use Ulead VideoStudio to edit mpg files. For example i edited a mpg video with a concert of an artist and created several unique video clips. But i can not do this with avi files. Is there an other program to edit avi files and cut scenes, or do i have to convert avi to mpg and how can i do this?

Use Virtual Dub to edit your AVI Files.

The fastest way to rip DVD is smartripper. It copies your DVD and slip in chapters each VOB file.

I use AOA DVD Ripper - rips DVD's to mpegs - separate file for each chapter too :)
Make sure you change the output settings for either PAL or NTSC in the settings - the default res is way to high, not a standard mpeg.
