Topic: Double RAM to 2 gig and now CPU usage is higher...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have not installed the video card yet but did install double RAM and VDJ is running at 18% when it ran 7-8% befor. How can that be? Do I need to adjust any programming? In other computers I just plugged and played. Anyone have any ideas?

What processor do you have? If it is Athlon 64 this is logical because he controls memory, not the chipset, so, more the ram, more the cpu usage maybe? Write down your machine spec! And by the way, try to turn off virtual memory to see how will pc work without it.
