Does anybody want to share how he lays out the different music genres throughout a party ? I.e. how do you build up the atmosphere when you do a gig ?

Anybody has playlists (sequences of songs) which lead to wild scenes on the dance floor..... ;-)

Thx

When I have a party, in general I don't prepare any playlist before it.

The goal is to build up the atmosphere and after you can mix almost everything. For example, at the last party I made, I began with music like Daft Punk and Prodigy because it was a public that liked it. So quickly they were "hot" and after I mixed techno, disco, dance, oldies...
And don't forget to speak like a DJ: the public is always the best you've ever seen, it is very hot tonight,...

When you have playlists, the problem is you can't feel the public and you can't play the best music. But during the party if you want to take a break you can easily build a playlist with music such as slows or groove because Atomix mix that music very well itself.

Remember this: every public is different, every party is different !

Hope that helps you !!

Have fun !
