when using atomix i experience around 4 to 5 skips in every song, ive tried closing everything appart from atomix and alternate sound cards and it didnt solve the problem help!!

Have a look at some of the posts in the General Discussion forum. Basically people are talking about increasing Atomixmp3 priority, using different video card drivers etc. That is, after making sure that you have the latest version of DirectX, that you're not running any programs in the background, etc.
