My new Terratec DMX Xfire1024 sound card does not work with atomix. When I select The card in soundconfig - 3D card and an external mixer, the sound gets verry bad (no bass) sound. When I select 3D card and headphone I can't hear the other channel, and also bad sound. I've search the Forum but the other topics didn't solve the problem.

What 3D soundcard does work good in Atomix.

I have great success with my SOundBlaster Live 5.1
Just make sure you have dolby digital output disabled!
 
Have you set it as : -3D sound card with 4 speakers(in windows)! Usually you have tools with your drivers to test the configuration of your system.
