V2.0 is running much slower than V1.12

My System : PIII 750,256 MB, Win98 SE, DX 8.1

Can anybody tell me, how i can inmprove the performance?

Try to disable any virusscanners or other TSR's
 
just put Atomixmp3 into hardware mode (you'll lose samples, equalizing and gain i thought but it will run as smooth as 1.12...)
OR
you can try to take a less graphical skin ...

Disable all effects of your SB cards, incl. Dolby and unplug all USB devices.
 
set windows displaying to 16 bits color and not 32 bits color.
