Topic: Could someone explain how the levels work?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I know in v1.12 that you would have to manually (or automaticly if you wanted) change the volume (levels) sliders to match the volume of each song. In v2 the 'level' value doesn't seem to change when you adjust the volume. I'm assuming that when the sliders are level Atomix automatically matchs the levels for you, like with a real mixer. Is that correct?

Auto gain (level) works in software mode and not in hardware mode. Go to sound card options and see what are you using. Also check if auto gain is on.

I know what the gain control does I was talking about the volume sliders, I want to know how the differ from v1.12 basically. Thanks anyways,
