Hi
I am currently running a creative Audigy sound card but have a sb5.1 and also a PCI128 card spare..
Does anyone know how i can install one of these as a second sound card without the audigy card throwing a wobbly ?
I cannot use my audigy in 3D for headphone monitoring without a constant crackling and degredation of overall sound quality.

From what I know, yes, since they are different chips.
What OS? I should just go ahead and try it! If your running 2K or XP, it should automatically install the drivers and get you up and running... then update all your drivers from www.soundblaster.com
Let us know your results!

Ok.. by "install the card" do you mean install the SB software?
or just the driver...
i mean... are you trying to install the whole liveware thang or just the drivers? Win2K should come up with new hardware detected message and prompt for drivers, if you avoid the whole liveware and/or SB software package you should be OK.
let me know if this helps at all, or if it wont even let you install the drivers
