Topic: ID3 Support

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all

I would love to have ID3 support in Atomix. Since I have literally thousands of MP3 but not a consistent way of naming them. They are usually named "track# - title", but sometimes are "author - title" or even weirder things like "track# - author - title"... Also, some authors have got scores ( - ) in their names, making the software even harder to use.

On the other hand, I have most of my MP3s with ID3 tags set up so... ;)

I suppose this should be done in a 'selectable' way for people who are comfortable with the way it works now (well, this is too obvious)

Thanks and keep up the good job

It is too slow when you have thousand of mp3 to add in the list! Sorry!

True, but could you also not make that an option so you can run/do that before starting your mix? Like have a "Make ID3" button that would load in the ID3 tags? This way you could click if you want, let it run for a while, then you would be ready. Just a possible compromise.

Just rename the mp3 you've just downloaded ;-)

If you still read this: you can import all your files in RealJukebox, which reads your ID3 tags, and then (in the options box) set the names as author - title.mp3, and click on "apply on existing files".

Greetz, ikke
