Topic: Generic Sound Sensitive Visual

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Since I cannot get AtomixMP3 to work with Winamp or Sonique visuals, I have a question here. A visual program basically takes a visual dll or whatever it is called and based on the sound going through it uses this dll to display a graphic screen. Is there a generic visual displayer out there that is not part of any other software? It works as a stand-alone software where it takes the sound just before it goes to the sound card and lets user select a visual dll from a list and displays the visual according to the sound. Potentially, this software can displace the need for winamp, sonique, or part of AtomixMP3 that is trying to do this. It will also be great if it can send the display to a TV monitor. Imagine you working at a home party or at a club, you can just run this software and hook TV monitors to your PC. And if your PC is not fast enough or does not have enough memory to make this software viable while AtomixMP3 is also running on it. You can feed the output from one PC where AtomixMP3 is running to another PC and your Amplifier (or external mixer). And this software can take the sound from the microphone input. Just an idea and a question.
