I was just wondering, when using turntables and a mixer, where is the loop function? Do turntables have a loop function built in or do good mixers?

Well, a perfect loop can't be done when you only use a turntable and a mixer (well, that's what I know, but I'm not the World #1 DJ ;-) damn :-( I'd earn a lot ;-)). You can use a (DJ) sampler or a mixer with a built-in ampler (like the top-model of Pioneer, I don't know the name).
There are DJ CD players with a built-in loop function.
