I have a maxi sound fortissimo under windows xp.
Think about downloading the lastest drivers available on Intrnet (www.guillemot.com if my memory is good)

However, you cannot use the fortissimo as a 3D soundcard under XP. Even whith the last drivers.
Enjoy it, Adrien.

The sb live works perfectly whith Atomix. Under Win2k, it can be useed as a real 3D soundcard! It should be the same under Xp.
Hope it helps, Adrien

And after the Audigy release, the SB Live! is really cheap! :-)

I'm using an SB Live! 1024 under Windoze XP and it works perfectly, I can monitor using the rear output in Atomixmp3 without a glitch, and it is reasonably priced.

sb live sux.
when u use the 3d channels this happens:
- the volume is way to low .. (for the meters on a mixer)
- the sound quality is terrible compared to dual soudcards
- on one of the channel the left volume is slightly to high, and on the other the right is to high.
dual sb live = ok :p (two soundcards)

Sorted it, using a AWE32 with the fortissimo and it works perfectly. I tried at first to use another PCI card and when you pressed magic button on atomix it go straight out of sync on one channel. Like it was dragging. The AWE32 will do fine for the mo though.
