Topic: Recording under Windows 2000

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Ok, this program kicks ass BUT, I am having seriuos problems when recording my mix under windows 2000. While playing and recording songs sound good but sometimes during a crossfade a beat gets lost in both songs and jumps. This happens only when in passive mode, recording, and corssfading at the same time. Ok not big deal, might be excess of resources use.

THe big problem i am having is while playback of the WAV file. This file, while playing, 'ticks' are played too. I mean every 20 or 15 seconds ther eis a tick, tick, worse that vinyl scratch.

I think it might be problem only under win 2000, because i have noticed that when playing mp3s and reading/writing to the hard disk, that click sounds. But only when the HD lights turn on. The same when playing audio CDs with winamp, everytime the CD led turn on while playing i hear a tick until the led turns off.

Any know issues? any solution? I will appreciate

I use it in 2K, no problems.
Is your system living up to Win2k's HUGE requirements?
