Topic: Tempo blending with crossfader
I've been using Djay Pro as a music player on my phone to listen to mixes from my song library when I go for walks, and many of the auto transitions between songs are quite good. One thing I find really intriguing is the tempo blending feature, where the crossfader adjusts the sync'd tempo of both tracks as you move the crossfader, making a seamless blend to the BPM of the new song. This could be REALLY useful, especially for larger BPM jumps. Is it possible to do this in VDJ, or could it be added to a wishlist?

If you want it as a manual crossfader, I've done that a few times
I'll have to dig round my custom buttons, I think I have it saved somewhere

yeah I found it, I have 3 versions [edit 4, 4th one is automatic but calculates to the next 32 so xf and pitch completes right on the 32 even after the variable pitch over the duration.]

1 is a virtualfx [windows only], when switched on it watches the crossfader and moves pitch

2 is a script a rsi that does the same as the virtualfx [not check exactly the same but can't be much different

3 is a script that does the same but it watches the upfaders for those that mix like that

If the earlier mentioned ^auto version^ isn't what you want I can sort you out one of these manual versions

That’s really good. I have a Mac and flx 10. Could I map that to a spare midi button. Shift plus mix point link button.

It’s the auto version I need linked to Crossfader but mapped to a button. Can this be done?

when you say that you mean, you press a button and it moves the crossfader for you over a duration at the same time the pitch moves?

Thanks for getting back. The button is just to have tempo blend on or off. If on state the Crossfader across to other deck keeping to original tempo of the incoming track. So may go from 125 BPM to say 90 BPM. I wouldn’t want this feature all the time just as and when. Which is why if I can map to a spare button.

Ok since you're not OP, I'm writing up some questions for you to answer in PM

Yes, that first video looks about right. Maybe this could be engaged by syncing one deck to the other?
