Topic: X1850, midi mode & PFL issue
Hey guys,

My club owner replaced the Rx3 with a setup consisting of two SC6000Ms and an X1850 mixer.

I'm having some trouble with the X1850's configuration and I need some help with it.

The problem I'm having with the default setup is that when the X1850's volume faders are completely down, I get no sound in the cueing when I activate the "Cue" button on the corresponding channel in the mixer.

I've noticed that the volume faders also control the volume faders on the VDJ screen. And to receive the audio signal when I activate cueing on the mixer, I first have to raise the channel's volume faders on the VDJ screen using the mouse.

The only option I've found so far is to leave the volume faders at maximum on the screen and then delete the "volume" key from the original mapping so they are no longer controlled by the mixer faders.

This seems more like a workaround than anything else.

I understand that the X1850 handles hardware audio mixing when used with VDJ, but I'd still like to be able to retain certain MIDI features such as on-screen mapping of gain, EQ, crossfader FX, and ducking echo on the volume faders, if possible.

I also have a very low headphone volume on the X1850 compared to the RX3 (zerodB set to -3dB in VDJ, gain set to 11 o'clock and master at 12 o'clock on the mixer with a value of +3dB set in the mixer's headphone section parameters).

I had to increase the headphone volume by 10 dB in the mixer settings to get a decent volume level. Is this normal?

I also uploaded my custom mapping from my own SC6000M to the "Mappers" folder on the club's computer. But VDJ only seems to see the factory mapping. My custom mapping doesn't appear in the list.

However, if I create a new custom mapping, it does appear in the "Mappers" folder.

Am I missing something here?
