hello DJs,
Well I have a little problem that I can't resolve and I hope to find a little help here to determine the cause of my problem.
At the club where I work we have an XDJ-RX3, a desktop computer with virtual DJ pro infinite (the club owner has his own license. The computer has the following configuration:
Asus tuf gaming B450 plus II motherboard
Ryzen 7 5800X
32 GB DDR4 Kingston fury beast 3200 Mhz
Msi Gaming X GTX 1080
Windows 11 pro
the problem is the following:
Everything works perfectly but the RX3 loses connection to the software randomly, the music cuts out, the RX3 screens go blank (I see the ogo recordbox instead of the waveforme) the jogwheel screens go blank, and no buttons work anymore.
I can go back into sources on the RX3 and reassign the decks, but only the sound card part will work again, neither the screens nor the buttons, pots and faders will work until the RX3 is completely rebooted, which causes a long audio cutout.
Sometimes when I go to the RX 3 mapping and do "reconnect devices or rescan devices" the commands respond again. This doesn't always work and when it does, it only works once and the displays will not work as well on the main rx3 screen as they do on the Jogwheels.
The RX3 has the latest firmware 1.19 and the latest driver for Windows 11 is installed.
I am convinced that the problem does not come from VDJ because it also happens under serato.
the USB cable between the PC and the RX3 is new.
I tried with my personal laptop and this also happens randomly. I can very well have no problem for several weeks or have 4 connection crashes in the same gig.
I only see two causes:
Either the problem comes from the RX3 itself,
Either the problem is perhaps linked to recent Windows updates concerning midi 2.0 (midi 2.0 was disabled in vDJ but that does not prevent crashes)
all Windows 11 updates are installed, because I know that a fix for problems related to midi 2.0 has been deployed by Microsoft since April 30.
Has anyone ever encountered this kind of bug on the RX3?
Why is VDJ unable to recover the connection via the "reconnect device" and "rescan devices" options and this forces me to have to turn the RX3 off and on again completely?
