Topic: set_beat_anchor
Hi, will be a cool thing can set a beat anchor with script,
now we have alternative of this, throw beers, but think it must be native option.
Other way i was imagine, could be editing database.xml.
to be honest don´t think it will be the solution, and have to recognice i haven´t knowledge or skill to do it.

thanks for triying, maybe you don´t understand the difference between first_beat and beat anchor,
i will try to explain to you.
first_beat only can be one.
beat anchor could be 2..3..4..or more...
usefull when bpm isn´t constant or the song break 16-32 pattern.

From my ignorance can´t undrestand why we could set mixerpoints or loadpoints but can´t set beatanchors points.
VD is by far the best software, have a lot of features than other softs... i´m sure it can be doit....

I get what you mean. For this I use the 
reanalyze_multi
option. The grid is often set right then with the markers you need and you can rearrange/adjust the beatmarkers in the poi editor when you need it.
 
Sorry for delay, i really appreciate this tips, but isn't new for me, I'm not expert scripting, but try to learn and use all of options and verbs who this great software bring us. So my desire is exactly what I described.... A script for set_beatanchor. And if was possible other one for correct grid pattern for fix when song breaks the 32-64 beats patron.

I usually just create a custom loop between 2 cues and the save the loop. I don't know if this is what you're looking for.
 
Hopefully this will not be needed, because a new beat grid analyzer is in the works.
